Congratulations to Xinhui Wang for winning the "Best Presentation Award" at the China-Ireland PhD Academic Symposium for the second time in a row.

The 2nd Ireland-China China-Ireland PhD Academic Symposium for Doctoral Students was held at the University of Cork, Ireland, on 4-5 November 2023, with more than 80 doctoral students from Ireland, including Northern Ireland, participating in the forum. The forum covered a wide range of fields, including engineering, medicine, food, materials, computing, physics, biology, geography, business and humanities. It was divided into 13 parallel sessions, which provided the participants with space for free discussion and free play. Xinhui Wang from the group presented his paper "Toward High-Precision and Large-Scale 3D Printing of Polymers via Digital Light Processing (DLP)". "which summarised the results of his PhD work in the past two years. During the presentation, Xinhui's work was highly evaluated and recognised by Prof. Yan Jin of Queen's University Belfast, and he was awarded the “Best Presentation Award” of the China-Ireland PhD Academic Symposium, with the first ranking among all PhDs.

It is worth mentioning that this is the second time that Xinhui has participated in the China-Ireland PhD Academic Symposium. On 3rd December 2022, when the first " China-Ireland PhD Academic Symposium " was held at the University of Dublin, Xinhui Wang also won the Best Presentation Award for his presentation on "High-Precision Digital Light Processing (DLP) 3D printing system", which won the “Best Presentation Award” and the first place in the ranking.

The China-Ireland PhD Academic Symposium has become an interdisciplinary academic event for doctoral students on the island of Ireland and a platform for high-level academic exchanges and cooperation between top experts and scholars in Ireland to meet face-to-face and engage in face-to-face dialogues. "Xinhui's work has been supported by the Maria Skłodowska-Curie Grant of the European Union Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme, and we hope that he will continue to maintain his enthusiasm for research and make greater breakthroughs in the fields of additive manufacturing and microfluidic chips.
