1 Manufacturing challenges in translating microfluidic devices from laboratory research to industry products are listed.

2 By disassembling the manufacturing process chain into detailed fabrication steps, an explicit roadmap of the translation process is given with the focus on scale-up technologies.

3 Standardization is also brought up for its significant role in accelerating such a translation process.

4 Views for tackling the translation challenges will be shared to help scientists from the laboratory to bring their innovations into pre-clinical, clinical, and mass production.
